Zoho Writer
Zoho office has a writer program. I decided to test its capabilities using it to test entering a blog item from Zoho Writer.
Once in Zoho Writer clicking on the New tab opens up a blank Zoho Writer page. The normal document functions are available through drop down menus in tabs and short cut buttons. The tabs are: Format, Insert, Review, Share, Views, Page Setup, Mailings which is a limited merge option. Below the tabs are font choice (there are 19), size, format, Bold, Italic, Underline, Crossout, Subscript, Superscript, Font Color, Background Color, Alignment, Numbering, Bullets, Indent Decrease, Indent Increase, and a format that looks like a page format but works only on block elements.
But that's not all. In the upper left border are another series of buttons for: Savings, Saving As, Printing, Export, Document Properties, Undo, Redo, Cut, Copy, Paste
I inserted a footer and inserted an Auto Field to get the date, page number and number of pages in the footer. An additional Auto Field is the author's name. I added an endnote/footnote1. If Heading formats are used a table of contents can be generated from them. Under Review there's a spell check which put words in red and when you click on them you are offered a list of suggestions as well as an option to add to dictionary or ignore or ignore all. When I added the first red word, blog, to the dictionary all other instances of blog were unmarked.
Now I will post to my drupal blog at itpuzzleworks.com.
Now I am in the edit screen at itpuzzleworks. This item went to the top of the list, was marked new, and wasn't published because I had checked off post as draft.
1 endnote
